What are “pre-engineered” buildings?Pre-engineered school buildings are assembled on site over a concrete slab. They are typically of metal construction that reduces termite, dry rot, or mold concerns, with a stucco texture appearance. They are of DSA (Department of State Architect) pre-approved design, carry a manufacturer’s warranty, and come complete with HVAC systems. They are expected to provide advantages in both time and cost.
